![]() ![]() ![]() What she has accomplished in that time is insurmountable. However, her spirit remained fierce, and her oncology team helped her fight her disease aggressively for much longer. Her prognosis was poor, and she was not expected to survive more than 5 years. When initially diagnosed in 2005, Carol had just transitioned her discipline to aesthetic medicine and opened Timeless Skin Solutions. Evelyn arrived first in 1992, followed by Owen in 1995, and finally Maeve in 1999. She impacted her patients and colleagues by providing the best possible care all while starting a young family. Saving countless lives, Carol was an emergency medicine physician in Columbus, Ohio, and Hilton Head, South Carolina. Often, she told stories of her residence, the Stadium Dorm, and the community that uplifted her. Carol attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree (1986) and medical school (1990), where she made lifelong friendships. She quickly convinced him to immigrate from Ireland to the United States, and their life together began. In 1985, Carol and Chris met and from there the rest is history. She spoke fondly about spending time outdoors, being a cheerleader, working at the local ice cream parlor, and visiting her Granny in Alabama in the summertime. Carol attended Nordonia High School, graduating in 1981. She won her 7th-grade science fair project about sunscreen – how fitting. ![]() Carol had a lively childhood in Northfield, Ohio with her 7 siblings and many cousins who lived nearby. With grit and grace, Carol battled ovarian cancer for nearly 20 years.
